SUMMARY

The misadventure of 34 young black people from Democratic Congo engaged as cab drivers in Bucharest, capital of Romania. Victor, Christian, Papa Lambert and the others were recruited in Kinshasa in 2008 to work in Romania. Great promises were made to them about wages and working conditions. Once in Bucharest, the dream quickly turned into a nightmare: first exploited, their contracts of employment were terminated. Another ordeal begins for them: the legitimacy of their presence in Romania. Those who have not yet been deported are fighting to stay in Romania, facing a new reality. For the others, the return has a bitter taste.
